Job Title:       Care Home Manager – Elderly frail and dementia

Salary:          c£60kpa negotiable DOE

Location:       Oxfordshire

They are looking for a Home Manager with an elderly care background.  Someone with a proven track record of achieving Good compliance and high standards of care.  They want to see that their manager has an inclusive and engaging management style and is someone creative with lots of positive energy.


  • Proven track record of managing a Good rated care homes
  • NVQ L4 Management or equivalent qualification
  • Nurse qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Specialist training, knowledge or interest in Dementia care
  • Proven ability in budget preparation and control
  • Excellent knowledge of CQC legislation
  • Confident IT user, with good working knowledge of Word and Excel



  • To ensure that the highest level of care standards are maintained at all times through quality assurance monitoring
  • To maintain a proactive and positive approach to complaints
  • To ensure that systems are used effectively to monitor the quality of service provision
  • Recruit, develop and train staff within QCF framework
  • Motivate and manage staff team to achieve agreed targets and deadlines
  • Assist in setting the annual budget for the home, monitor and control budgets on an ongoing basis
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies and plans
  • Market and promote the business to external agencies and within the wider community



  • Salary offered in the region of £60kpa negotiable depending on qualifications, skills and experience
  • Contracted for 37.5hrs per week
  • 25 days leave plus bank holidays
