Bright Selection are actively working with a leading provider of private healthcare in sourcing a Clinical Lead for a newly created opportunity in the Southport area.

As an established provider of care services, my client specialises in elderly/dementia care and is well resourced, offering excellent training and development opportunities. Having grown steadily over previous years, my client now operates a number of homes throughout the UK.

The home in question is a medium size nursing home, providing nursing and dementia care to its elderly resident and it has a fantastic local reputation, meaning that occupancy levels have consistently been around 95%. There is a very stable work force in place and a highly skilled and experienced Home Manager.

  • As the Clinical Lead / Lead Nurse you will work closely with each resident, assessing their individual needs to enable the delivery of a tailored care plan that helps each person to live a fuller life.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the team delivers the highest standards of clinical care and you will work closely with the Home manager and Deputy Manager to create an environment that delivers skilled nursing care, clear communication, and respect and dignity for everyone.
  • You will be expected to work flexibly within the service as required and appropriate, participating within a team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the support delivered.
  • Working in partnership, you will also be required to support as part of an on-call rota. The role also involves mentoring the nursing team and providing supervision.
  • You will facilitate learning opportunities and conduct appraisals and performance reviews, supporting others in their development of autonomous practice.
  • You will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of clinical governance including risk management and audit, as well as complying with all policies, procedures, clinical protocols, standard and guidelines based upon legislation, evidence-based nursing practice and NMC guidelines.

You will need to have a valid NMC PIN (RGN or RMN) and a strong knowledge of person-centred care. Ideally, you’ll also have qualifications and experience in dementia care, as well as management or leadership qualifications and knowledge of the current care practices required by CQC.

This is a full time, permanent post for 40 hours per week. You will need to be flexible to work seven days per week on a rota basis – possibly alternative weekends.

This role is paid at £35,500 per annum plus benefits that include NMC PIN fee refunded, subsidised meals and free teas, coffee and a water fountain. There is also free parking but often this would be on the road outside. Additional opportunities to progress due to my clients’ own internal training and CPD.
