Salary: £35k – £37k plus benefits
Excited to be recruiting on behalf of a sought after charity in the care home sector who are seeking a nurse qualified deputy manager for one of their purpose built care homes in Exmouth.
The home is situated in the lovely town of Exmouth and enjoys a good reputation locally, CQC last rated the home in September 2017 as good in all 5 areas and residents benefit from a modern, homely environment, a full compliment of staff and excellent links with local healthcare professionals.
As the Deputy Manager you will line manage the team of nurses and care assistants, you will be responsible for regular supervisions & appraisals, recruitment of and inducting new staff, co-ordinating rotas and managing agency usage and focus on staff training and development. You will complete clinical audits ensuring compliance & carry out assessments of new residents. You will be supported by the Registered Home Manager and this role would involve stepping up in their absence.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Nurse qualification & an active PIN
- Level 5 in leadership & management or willing to work towards
- Proven background of working in a care home setting
- Experience of working in a supervisory/managerial role
- Excellent knowledge of current legislation including CQC, KLOE’s, DoLs, MCA
