Deputy Matron – Small privately owned “Good” rated care home

Bright Selection is delighted to be working with a small independent provider of elderly care in the recruitment of a Deputy Matron for their home in Lancaster
The home offers nursing & dementia care alongside behavioural support to a maximum of 20 residents in this CQC Good rated home. This pretty home, renowned for its friendly environment, offers several communal areas, a comprehensive activities programme and home cooked meals. It is well located close to the main railway station and main road network.
The Deputy Matron will directly support Matron in the efficient running of the home, ensuring the needs and care of all residents and staff is delivered to a high standard, you will be the Nurse in Charge as required and take charge of the entire home in Matron’s absence. Working together you will ensure that monthly care pathway and medication audits are undertaken, with any areas of concern are acted upon immediately, you will also supervise all staff and ensure training is completely up to date.
As well as supporting and deputising for Matron you will be the named nurse for your own selection of residents taking responsibility for all areas of their care.
This role will suit an RMN or RGN, with experience in this area of care who is looking for that next level of responsibility & used to working in a smaller care home. The role is offered at £17.25 per hour & based on a 40 hour week equates to around £37950. The successful candidate must be happy to work on a rota basis covering 5 / 7 days, with 1 out of 10 days being supernumerary. There is also an on-call responsibility.
