A very exciting opportunity to join an award winning, not for profit care home operator and manage a state of the art, purpose care village that provides residential and dementia care in the popular town of Salisbury.

This 120 bedded flagship care centre has been split into 2 wings and is just about to open their second wing this Summer, and so our client is now seeking a General Manager to manage the whole site with the support of 2 Home Managers (who will register with CQC individually) and an established care delivery team.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for improving standards and commissioning the second wing, you will increase performance whilst ensuring quality is not compromised and continue to build key links with the community.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Effective market the care village
  • Increase occupancy/sales
  • Directly line manage 2 Home managers & a care delivery team
  • Recruiting new team members for all departments in the care village
  • Retention of new and existing staff
  • Liaise with health care professionals promoting the care home and creating beneficial links


  • Proven track record of improving peformance in a care or hospitality or retail setting
  • Commercially astute
  • Excellent business acumen including managing budgets & P&L
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop multi-skilled staff teams
  • Experience of successful line management
  • A collaborative and inspirational leader
