Assistant Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Accounts Assistant to join a small but busy team to support with transactional finance.

My client is looking for an ambitious Accounts Assistant to support across the company. This is a busy role but offers exciting project work opportunities, ongoing study support and you will be joining a group at an exciting time of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is driven as there is opportunity for growth and development for staff who deliver and succeed.

My client is looking for someone who is engaging and outgoing. Part of the role will include credit control and you will be tasked to build rapport with debtors and manage relationships inside and outside of the group.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Payable including Expenses and Credit Cards.
  • Accounts Receivable including Billing.
  • Direct Debit set up and Collections.
  • Credit Control including the preparation of Cash Flows.
  • Managing and controlling the reconciliation process of multiple Bank Accounts.
  • Managing and controlling the reconciliation process of Intra-Company transactions.
  • Ownership of key Balance Sheet reconciliations including updating Fixed Assets.
  • Assisting with the monthly preparation of the Management Accounts including ownership of Accruals, Prepayments and Depreciation.
  • Manage regular and ad-hoc internal and external reporting.
  • Assist with the annual Year-End Audit and Statutory Reporting process.
  • Take ownership for resolving Finance queries and disputes.
  • To be a reliable cover for the Finance Business Partner.

This hybrid role will include working in the office 3 days per week and work from home 2 days.

 

Requirements

  • To be considered for this post you must be AAT qualified and/or part ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Prior experience working in the real estate industry.
  • Experience using XERO is advantageous.

 

Remuneration

  • This role offers a salary of £30,000 – £40,00 PA DOE.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Auto-enrolment pension scheme.
  • Ongoing study support.
