Today marked the start of this year’s St Helena Hospice £40 Challenge, sponsored by Birkett Long. To reflect the celebration of 40 years since the opening of the inpatient unit at Myland Hall, the challenge has changed to £40 with businesses being given 50 days to turn that into as much money as possible.
Julie and Jade attended this morning’s launch along with other local businesses, to share ideas and find out more about the phenomenal work that the hospice teams do in providing care and support to people facing incurable illnesses and to provide support to their families. There was also the chance to visit the Life Stories and Heritage Stories exhibitions which show both the hospice’s journey as well as providing an insight into some of the amazing people they have cared for along the way.
A visit to the hospice is always a humbling experience and now more than ever they need external support to ensure that these vital services continue to run.
In the next 50 days we’ll be hoping you’ll support the Bright team in smashing last year’s fundraising total and raising as much money as possible.
