Jade and Julie were delighted to attend the annual awards evening for this year’s £40 Challenge, hosted by Knights PLC for St Helena Hospice. This was Bright team’s second year of taking part in the challenge and we were thrilled to have beaten our first year total. It was another successful year for fundraising with this year’s total of £23,874.23 beating last year by well over £5000!

The night provided a chance to celebrate with other participants but equally to hear from some of the St Helena Team, including Josh one of the nurses on the inpatient unit who’s stories always remind us why we are there, and why our fundraising is so vital.

The need for St Helena’s services is greater than ever, and with NHS funding only accounting for 20% of their costs (which are increasing) they rely on the generosity of the community in North Essex to secure their future.

Once again a big thank you to all our team for their time and effort they have contributed, and to all our friends, family and clients that so kindly donated to this very worthwhile charity.

We are already planning for 2026 and how we can smash this years total!
