Deputy Nursing Home Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join a beautiful care home working under the direction of a highly skilled and passionate home manager.

We are seeking a clinical deputy manager with a motivational leadership style and keen eye for detail.  The role will be a mix of supernumerary management responsibilities coupled with 2 shifts per week on the floor.

Responsibilities include:

• Co-ordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring resident involvement throughout.
• Oversee the Safe Medication Management programme, ensuring robust auditing and training of staff.
• Undertake staff supervisions.
• Conduct and oversee effective handovers between shifts.
• Support on and where required lead on recruitment, retention, supervision and development of the staff team.

Requirements:

• You will hold a nursing qualification with a current NMC pin.
• You will have a proven track record as a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager within an elderly care home setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of COSHH, CQC and other relevant legislation for the provision of care for older people.
• Experience of and knowledge of current best practice within dementia care is highly desirable.

Salary:

• £24/hr | 40-45hrs per week.
• Some weekend working is required.
