Facilities Manager
An established and growing care organisation is seeking an experienced Group Facilities Manager to take ownership of facilities and estates management across a multi-site portfolio.
This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for ensuring that all properties are safe, compliant, well-maintained and fit for purpose, supporting high-quality care delivery across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day facilities and estates management across multiple care sites.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant health & safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and reactive works.
- Manage external contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, value for money and adherence to SLAs.
- Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments and inspections.
- Support capital projects, refurbishments and new developments where required.
- Develop and manage facilities budgets, controlling costs and identifying efficiencies.
- Act as the key point of contact for facilities-related issues across the organisation.
- Work closely with senior leadership and site managers to ensure consistent standards.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior facilities or estates management role, within healthcare, social care, or hospitality environment.
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance and building regulations.
- Experience managing multi-site portfolios.
- Confident managing contractors, budgets and complex workloads.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across London, Hertfordshire and Cambridge.
- Relevant facilities, engineering or health & safety qualifications are desirable.
