Head of Care

Head of Care required for a leading luxury care provider at their home located in Sevenoaks, Kent.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast growing retirement living provider in a state of the art care home offering luxury nursing and residential care.  All their homes are purpose built and bespoke in design incorporating all the latest design and innovation within the sector.

 

You will be joining a leading provider of luxury care for older people, with an excellent reputation, high staff retention levels and consistently achieve awards for quality of care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring resident involvement throughout.
  • Support on and where required lead on recruitment, retention, supervision and development of the staff team.
  • Oversee the Safe Medication Management programme, ensuring robust auditing and training of staff.
  • Conduct and oversee effective handovers between shifts.
  • Support General Manager in developing and growing the resource within the home to meet targets and that match the local market expectations.

 

Requirements

  • You will hold an appropriate qualification i.e. NVQ 4 / QCF Level 4 Diploma / RGN.
  • You will have a proven track record as a Care Service Manager/Deputy Manager within an elderly care home setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of COSHH, CQC and other relevant legislation for the provision of care for older people.
  • Experience of and knowledge of current best practice within dementia care is highly desirable.

 

Salary

  • Salary c£60,000 – £65,000pa + neg DOE.
  • Core hours Mon – Fri with some weekend working to ensure management presence and support 7 days a week.
