I’m recruiting a Senior People & HR Manager for an established and growing luxury care home provider.
This is a broad, hands-on role supporting a portfolio of care homes across the UK, with responsibility across recruitment, workforce planning, HR operations, training and compliance.
It’s a great opportunity for someone who has worked within a multi-site HR role and enjoys being close to operations. You’ll work directly with senior leaders and Home Managers, lead a small central team and play an important role in making sure the business can attract, recruit, develop and retain the right people.
The Role
- Lead recruitment and workforce planning across the group.
- Support Home Managers with recruitment challenges and resourcing plans.
- Oversee onboarding and induction.
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers.
- Support employee relations and people matters.
- Oversee mandatory training, development and compliance.
- Use workforce data to identify recruitment, retention and people trends.
- Support succession planning and management development.
- Oversee sponsorship compliance and support Home Office requirements.
- Support CQC and regulatory inspections from an HR and workforce perspective.
- Manage and develop a small HR, recruitment and training team.
- Work closely with the Head of HR & Training and wider operational leadership team.
About you
I’m looking for someone with a strong generalist HR background who also understands the importance of recruitment and workforce planning.
You’ll ideally have:
- Senior HR Manager, HR Business Partner or People Business Partner experience.
- Experience working across multiple sites or locations.
- Strong operational HR and employee relations knowledge.
- Good recruitment and workforce planning experience.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Experience within social care.
- CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent experience.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to build strong relationships with operational managers.
They need someone comfortable getting involved in the day-to-day and working directly with managers to solve problems and improve recruitment, retention and people processes.
Package
- £ depending on experience.
- Discretionary annual bonus.
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
- Home based.
- Weekly Operations meeting in office.
- Regular travel across the care home portfolio.
- 45p per mile business mileage.
- NEST Pension.
- Retail discount scheme.
The organisation is established, financially secure and continuing to grow, with a strong reputation within the luxury care sector. There is also genuine longer-term progression potential.
If you’re an experienced HR professional who understands the realities of supporting operational teams across multiple locations and enjoys being hands-on, I’d love to hear from you.
