Rounding up our Charity Pledge – Motor Neurone Disease Association

The Motor Neurone Disease Association work with those who have been diagnosed with MND to help ensure that they receive the best care, achieve the highest possible quality of life and are able to die with dignity.

We chose to support MNDA as an extension of our support for our Senior Consultant Stephanie White, who’s running the London Marathon this year alongside her running partner Kat Rigby for the charity in aid of her Stepfather William who was diagnosed with the condition in 2015.

The primary focus of our support for MNDA was back in the summer, where our Superhero Boot Camp brought superheroes both young and old from the surrounding area together for a boot-camp style exercise routine and fun & games, all in the name of charity. The event was full of laughter, fantastic costumes and a great effort to get fit & raise money all in one go. We managed to raise a staggering £554.39 at the event which has gone straight to helping Steph & Kat raise the £8,000 they need to run in the name of MNDA.

With the London Marathon just round the corner, our support for Steph’s run is in full swing with her completion of the Colchester Half Marathon on Sunday 12th March. Expect to see plenty of coverage of Steph’s achievements and support of MNDA in the weeks to come!

Take a look at the feedback we received from MNDA on the success of our Superhero Boot Camp below, and keep your eyes peeled for more information about Steph’s London Marathon bid!

“The support we received from Bright Selection was brilliant and through such a great event. There Super Hero Bootcamp was a great idea and great success, enjoyed by everyone involved.

The MND Association relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and without the support of companies light Bright Selection we would simply not be able to do what we do for people living with and affected by MND.

I would like to say a huge “Thank You” to everyone involved in making the day a great success, you have all made a difference to the lives of the affected!”

– Ben Sharpe, Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager, MND Association
